Poland has 23 national parks, of which the Biebrza National Park in north-eastern Poland is the largest.<\/p>\n

The Biebrza National Park, which is also one of the largest wildlife refuges in Europe, is inhabited by over 270 bird species, including many rare waterfowl and wetland birds. It is home to 48 mammal species, including Poland’s biggest population of elk, and more than a thousand plant species.<\/p>\n

The Biebrza Marshes are an important bird breeding, feeding and stop over site, and thus, in 1995, the park was designated as a wetland site of worldwide significance and brought under the protection of the Ramsar Convention. The park has also been recognised as a birds’ refuge of global significance by BirdLife International.<\/p>\n

With more than 450 kilometres of bicycle routes and 135 kilometres of kayak routes, trekking and horse riding routes, the Biebrza National Park is a paradise not only for birdwatchers but for all outdoor and nature lovers. Visit it online!<\/p>\n
