This approach promises a celebration of light, in the form of a distinctive luminous audiovisual experience that brings the artworks and cultural echoes into distinctive dynamic digital spatial performance.

Artists:
Elwira Wojtunik – concept, art direction
Popesz Csaba Láng – animations, AI, FX, project integration, post-production
Krzysztof Guzik – 3D modelling, FX, animations
Jędrzej Rusin – sound composition

© Elektro Moon Vision

© Elektro Moon Vision

© Elektro Moon Vision by K. The two artists share the same economy of means, favouring simple gestures and found materials. Their respective practices are punctuated by patterns of fragmentation and reconstruction, and resonate with each other in a subtle dialogue.

Polish artist Tatiana Wolska (1971) lives and works in Brussels. Her multidisciplinary practice is characterised by organic growth, the proliferation of forms and the hybridisation of objects. Using simple means and evocative gestures, Tatiana Wolska transforms plastic bottles, discarded metal and recycled wood into the foundations of mechanisms of propagation and amplification.

Bernard Villers (1939) is a major figure of the Belgian art scene. In his works, Bernard Villers constantly combines surface, light and colour, playing with the infinite possibilities of pictorial practice and its effects on our perception. The Belgian painter seeks his inspiration in the banal, marginal and imperceptible aspects of everyday life to create minimal interventions often inspired by language, poetry or literature.

Assemblages
Bernard Villers & Tatiana Wolska
16/01/2025 >01/03/2025

Irène Laub gallery
29 rue Van Eyck
1050 Brussels

Opening Thursday 16.01, 5pm – 9pm

As part of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union

The post Exhibition: Assemblages by Bernard Villers & Tatiana Wolska 🗓 appeared first on Instytut Polski w Brukseli.

Landscape Archive | an artistic research project on Holocaust sites in Poland 🗓

strzelkak

Arts

Events

History

News

The exhibition “Landscape Archive” discusses uncommemorated burial sites of Holocaust victims located on Polish territory. So far, the Foundation has located about 300 unmarked burial sites of Holocaust victims in Poland, marked 100 of them, and permanently commemorated more than a dozen.

Research results conducted by the Zapomniane Foundation presented at the exhibit include photographs documenting commemorated burial sites. From forest fires in California to the great floods of Venice in 2019 and the eruption of a volcano in Iceland, Ada Zielińska satisfies her curiosity for destruction – the leitmotif at the heart of the beginnings of her artistic practice. Ada questions the human propensity to sink into darkness. It’s a form of voyeurism in the face of catastrophe that is quite common in our Western societies.

See the Post Tourism exhibition at La Nombreuse from 24 January to 23 February 2025.

Ada Zielińska

Visual artist working mainly with photography, video and installation. Her main area of interest revolves around the idea of destruction seen as a prerequisite for rebirth. Her creative approach revolves around catastrophic events, experienced in real life or staged – not only to document, but also to explore their aesthetics and the emotions they evoke. Drawing on the notion of post-photography, she seeks to extend the same approach to her audience, deliberately creating the most photogenic environment. This encourages the viewer to try to examine the aesthetics and emotions evoked by her work.

More about the artist: https://adazielinska.com/

Exhibition: Post Tourism by Ada Zielińska

La Nombreuse
42 rue du Fort
1060 Brussels

Opening: January 24, 2025 6 p.m.

Open every day from 01/24 to 02/02/2025 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Then open on weekends until 02/23/2025 2 p.m. – 7 p.m.

As part of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union

The post PhotoBrussels Festival: Post Tourism by Ada Zielińska 🗓 appeared first on Instytut Polski w Brukseli.

Filmscreening: Hurrah, We Are Still Alive!
