Both groups are closely monitored by the mysterious organization managing the expedition, as an experiment analyzes the cooperation between humans and their humanoid counterparts.

Polish director, set designer, and filmmaker, Łukasz Twarkowski has developed a personal and extraordinary way of intertwining the arts of cinema, digital media, and acting. “The Employees” is based on the dystopian science fiction novel of the same title by Danish author Olga Ravn, adapted for the stage by Joanna Bednarczyk. This highly contemporary performance is structured around questioning the essence of human consciousness and the status of artificial intelligence.

Presented first time on January 28, 2023, at STUDIO teatrgaleria, Warsaw. Featuring Dominika Biernat, Daniel Dobosz, Maja Pankiewicz, Sonia Roszczuk, Paweł Smagała, Rob Wasiewicz, Małgorzata Hajewska-Krzysztofik (voice), Miron Smagała.

“The Employees”
March 21, 20:00
March 22, 20:00
Théâtre de Liège
Salle de la Grande Main
Place du 20-Août 16, 4000 Liège

In Polish, with French surtitles. 2h20 with breaks.

More information | Tickets

The post “The Employees” directed by Łukasz Twarkowski at the Théâtre de Liège 🗓 appeared first on Instytut Polski w Brukseli.

Performance “Untitled (Holding Horizon)” by Alex Baczyński-Jenkins at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts 🗓

strzelkak

Aktualności

News

Theatre

Kunstenfestivaldesarts is an international performing arts festival dedicated to contemporary theatre, dance, performance, and visual arts. A creative sector in full effervescence, the circus presents a richness that corresponds well to the reality of Brussels. It invites people to surpass themselves, to marvel, to respect others and to be curious.

Fundacja Sztukmistrze is a team of experienced modern circus artists who have been carrying out various artistic projects for more than ten years, notably in Poland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Dubai. One of the most prestigious productions was the promotional show for Poland at the Milan World Expo in 2015. They have produced such shows as: ‘Gradient’, ‘Spektrum’, ‘9.811’, ‘Szafa Show’, ‘Zgubowisko’ and ‘Fire Party’.

Their modern circus acts combine elements of acrobatics, aerial acrobatics, dance and physical theatre, juggling, pantomime and optical illusion.

They present two shows:

◉ 9.811 based on the novel ‘Cosmos’ by Witold Gombrowicz – Monday 11.04 – 20:00 > 21:00 – Tour à plomb – 1000 Brussels

Free entrance, reservation required

More info

◉ Fire Party! the biggest fire party you’ve ever seen! – Saturday 16.04 & Sunday – 17.04 – 21:00 > 22:00 – Place de Brouckère – 1000 Brussels

Free access

More info

The post Fundacja Sztukmistrze from Lublin at the 15th edition of the Brussels Circus Festival – Hopla! – 11.04 > 17.04.22 🗓 appeared first on Instytut Polski w Brukseli.
