DESCRIPTION:Panorama of Polish Animation: Films by Lecturers and Students of the
Łódź Film School – Continuation
The Panorama of Polish Animation is an initiative by the Łódź Film
School. It is a selection of animation works by students and their
lecturers made over the years of the school's existence, with the objective
to promote Polish animation abroad. During study visits in different
countries and film schools, the selection of films forms a basis for
meetings, discussions and exchanges of experience with animation students
of other countries.  
From 28 to 30 September 2026, the Panorama of Polish Animation is visiting
Belgium and will be presented at three art schools: KASK &
Conservatorium in Ghent, RITCS – Royal Institute for Theatre, Cinema
& Sound in Brussels, and KASKA-dko in Antwerp. The programme will
include film screenings, presentations, discussions, and meetings with
students and lecturers of the Łódź Film School.
On Tuesday, 29 September, at the invitation of Member of the European
Parliament Dariusz Joński, the Polish delegation will also present a
selection of animated films at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The programme features films created in recent years by students of the
Department of Animation under the artistic supervision of different
lecturers, ranging from first-year exercises to graduation films. The works
employ a wide variety of techniques, from traditional hand-drawn, puppet
and cut-out animation to digital and 3D animation.
Many of the featured titles – including I’m Here (dir. Julia
Orlik-Buratyńska), There Are People in the Forest (dir. Szymon
Ruczyński), Such Miracles Do Happen (dir. Barbara Rupik) and Hello,
Headquarters! (dir. Zuzanna Heller) – have been screened and awarded
prizes at numerous festivals in Poland and abroad.
The screenings will be accompanied by meetings with some of the filmmakers,
who are currently studying at the Łódź Film School. They will answer
questions and share behind-the-scenes insights into the making of their
short films. Audiences will also have an opportunity to learn more about
the teaching methods and artistic approach of the Department of Animation.
The project is organised and funded in Belgium by the Polish Institute
Brussels in cooperation with KASK & Conservatorium, RITCS and
KASKA-dko.
This event is reserved to students of the aforementionned schools. 
This project is co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National
Heritage of the Republic of Poland from the Culture Promotion Fund.
