On the initiative of the Polish Institute in Brussels, in cooperation with the Permanent Delegation of the Republik of Poland to NATO and the War Studies University in Warsaw, a panel discussion on the current geopolitical situation in relation to the war in Ukraine and its impact on NATO’s eastern flank was held at the NATO SHAPE.<\/p>\n

The discussion started with an introductory presentation by General S. Wojciechowski<\/strong>, the new Polish military representative to the NATO and EU Committee. The starting point of the debate was the military achievements of Generals S. Maczek<\/strong>, S. Sosabowski<\/strong> and W. Anders<\/strong>, the struggle for an independent Poland during the Polish-Bolshevik war and their contribution to the liberation of Europe from the German occupation.<\/p>\n

The event was also attended by: W. Kono\u0144czuk<\/strong>, Deputy Director of the Centre for Easter Studies and T. Zieli\u0144ski<\/strong>, Deputy Rector of the War Studies University in Warsaw. The event was moderated by Bruno Lete from the German Marshall Fund of the United States.<\/p>\n
