Europe Day, held on 9 May<\/strong>, every year celebrates peace and unity in Europe. The date marks the anniversary of the historic „Schuman Declaration<\/a>” that set out his idea for a new form of political cooperation in Europe, which would make war between Europe’s nations unthinkable. Schuman’s proposal is considered to be the beginning of what is now the European Union.<\/p>\n

On that day, both the Justus Lipsius and the Europa buildings will be open to visitors from 10:00 to 18:00.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Atrium space in the Justus Lipsius building will host the stands of the Member States, including Poland. The Polish Institute Brussels will also be present at the Polish stand, presenting its cultural activities.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
