She has published five collections of poetry, most recently <em>Brinks <\/em>(2022). <em>Carapace<\/em>, her fourth collection of poetry, won the 2021 Gdynia Literary Prize; <em>Chord<\/em>, her third collection of poetry, received the 2017 Adam W\u0142odek Award for Emerging Writers. Her books have been shortlisted for major literary prizes in Poland including the Wis\u0142awa Szymborska Award, Wroc\u0142aw Poetry Prize and Nike Literary Award. A graduate of English Studies at the University of Warsaw, she translates poetry, among others, by Louise Gl\u00fcck, Tyrone Williams, Sandra Cisneros, as well as art writing and criticism. Malek has been curating the international Spoken Word Festival Warsaw since 2015 and Poems in the City, poetry in public space festival, since 2021. Her poems have been widely anthologized and translated into more than ten languages.
