CinEast<\/strong> <\/a>(cin\u00e9-East) is an annual film festival held in Luxembourg every October since 2008. It’s a celebration of Central and Eastern European cinema, featuring 50-65 feature films and 40 short films from 21 countries. The festival screens over 100 films across various cinemas in Luxembourg, showcasing fiction, documentary, and animated works. The 16th edition of the festival will take place from October 5 to 22, 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As part of the festival, the exhibition „Posters for Ukraine” will be presented.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"The Association of Polish Graphic Designers, together with partners from Ukraine, created an exhibition of around 30 posters on the subject of the war taking place just next to Poland. The exhibition was a natural gesture of solidarity with our dear friends who were brutally distracted from their daily work as graphic designers, designers and illustrators. We want their voices to be heard, we want to show their feelings and our disagreement with the war.<\/p>\n

\u2013 The Posters For Ukraine exhibition is a response to the war<\/em> – says Filip Tofil, member of STGU – When quiet cities and towns were bombed, Ukrainian illustrators and designers issued call for posters and illustrations informing about the tragedy that befell their country. Artists from all over the world responded to the call by creating works about sadness, fear and hatred, calling for an end to the war, showing courage and giving hope. The Posters For Ukraine exhibition presents a set selected from among several hundred works sent to the Association of Polish Graphic Designers, as well as published as part of the poster call organized by Pictoric Ilustrators Club (Kyiv) and 4th Block (Kharkiv) <\/em>– adds Filip Tofil.<\/p>\n
