Maciej Plewi\u0144ski – 'Roma’<\/p><\/div>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Maciej Plewi\u0144ski<\/strong> was born in 1955 in Krak\u00f3w, Poland. He began assisting his father, the renewed photographer Wojciech Plewi\u0144ski, with assignments and darkroom work at the age of 10. He later studied printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krak\u00f3w. In the 1980s, he worked as an assistant to Prof. Andrzej Pietsch in the Intaglio Workshop of the Academy\u2019s Graphic Faculty, where he specialized in photogravure techniques and teaching. From 1985 to 1986, Plewi\u0144ski moved to New York, where he assisted the celebrated photographer, Ryszard Horowitz. After returning to Poland in 1987, he embarked on a successful career as an independent photographer and printmaker.<\/p>\n
