One of these is dedicated entirely to works directed by women filmmakers. This means that the winners of the Grand Prix of the International and National Competition are eligible for the Academy Awards\u00ae, which represents a real opportunity for films taking part in the competition.\nThis year, as Poland takes on the presidency of the Council of the European Union, the 28th edition of the Brussels Short Film Festival is shining a spotlight on Polish cinema. In partnership with the Warsaw and \u0141\u00f3d\u017a Film Schools, the festival has put together a special selection of films, which will be presented across three curated programs. One of these is dedicated entirely to works directed by women filmmakers.
