A I 34 nr 34), from music collection of Archdiocesan Library of Sandomierz, 18th century
Anonymous (?), Trio (sygn. A X nr 530), from music collection of Archdiocesan Library of Sandomierz, 18th century
The music of 18th-century Poland, while still relatively unknown, is rich in compositional discoveries. The program focuses on manuscripts from the Archdiocesan Library of Sandomierz, which include works by local Benedictine nuns and other collections from the region.
Johann Gottlieb Janitsch, associated with the Berlin school, created music in the "Empfindsamer Stil," evident in his Trio Sonata in G minor. Joseph Meck, a German composer from Eichstätt, gained recognition for his Violin Concerto, which combines Vivaldi's influences with virtuosic passages. Ananonymous piece, dated to the late 18th century, features an elegant manuscript and classical stylistic elements. The final trio, a transcription of Polish folk dance music, merges baroque elements with folk influences, radiating energy and irregular rhythms. These discoveries highlight the diversity and musical richness of this period in Poland.
Régence sonore, an ensemble founded by Polish female artists, combines the scientific achievements of the most important European early music education centres with a distinct artistic personality and commitment to shaping the future of the music industry. The young ensemble's competition debut was the göttingen händel competition 2024, where the international jury awarded the artists two of the five available prizes. In recognition of their achievements at the competition, the ensemble received a nomination for the “Coryphaeus of Music in Poland” award in the "Discovery of the Year" category.
In May 2024, the ensemble was accepted into the prestigious Sustainability-EEEMERGING career development programme, which brings together the most talented ensembles in the field of early music in Europe. Thanks to the support provided by EU grants Creative Europe, in 2024-2026 the ensemble will be led by specialists on the path of development of future leaders in the music industry, creating strategies for action in the spirit of comprehensively sustainable artistic and economic development.
The programme's postulates are reflected both in the ensemble's artistic work and in its social involvement and outreach activities. In addition to concerts for leading early music festivals (Internationale Händel-Festspiele; Musikfestspiele Potsdam-Sanssouci; Festival Oude Muziek Utrecht; Festival Ogrody Muzyczne; Early Music in Wilanów, Warsaw), the artists are involved in educational projects and events aimed at establishing dialogue with new audiences and introducing early music to non-obvious spaces and environments inexperienced in the reception of high culture.
The harpsichord for the concert was generously loaned by the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels.
Concert: Polish New Generation in Classical Music - Régence sonore24 June 202514:00-14:30 Info Hub, European ParliamentEU Quarter – Info Hub on Esplanade Solidarność 1980BrusselsEntry free"},{"@type":"ImageObject
pl-PL","@id":"https://instytutpolski.pl/brussels/en/2025/06/04/concert-polish-new-generation-in-classical-music-regence-sonore/#primaryimage
{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https://instytutpolski.pl/brussels/en/2025/06/04/concert-polish-new-generation-in-classical-music-regence-sonore/#breadcrumb
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
Concert: Polish New Generation in Classical Music – Régence sonore"}]},{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://instytutpolski.pl/brussels/#website
[{"@type":"SearchAction
@type":"EntryPoint
https://instytutpolski.pl/brussels/?s={search_term_string}
@type":"PropertyValueSpecification
{"@type":"Person","@id":"https://instytutpolski.pl/brussels/#/schema/person/189bcd8821552f49e45a6efb38dfefd2
lemanczykp
@type":"ImageObject
pl-PL","@id":"https://instytutpolski.pl/brussels/#/schema/person/image/
["GET
