The 18th edition of CinEast \u2013 the Central and Eastern European Film Festival in Luxembourg<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 will present a rich, colourful and refined selection of the best recent films from more than 20 countries from the former Eastern Bloc and also offer many special features and accompanying events. From 10 to 26 October, over 65 feature films and over 50 shorts of all genres will be screened at the Cin\u00e9 Utopia, Cercle Cit\u00e9 (screenings organised by the Cin\u00e9math\u00e8que de la Ville de Luxembourg), Neim\u00ebnster, Kinepolis Kirchberg, the Cinextdoor network, Ancien Cinema (Vianden), and other venues in and around Luxembourg. The festival programme also features an extensive photo exhibition and several musical events. The audience will have the opportunity to meet more than 30 special guests (directors, actors, producers) during Q&A sessions after selected screenings and participate in several cin\u00e9-debates and thematic evenings. Numerous programmes for children and young people are also on the festival menu as well as opportunities to taste some traditional Eastern European food and drinks. Regular screenings in cinemas will be complemented by content available online (CinEast Online Cinema).<\/p>\n

Together with his son \u0141ukasz Pawlik – an acclaimed cellist, composer, and winner of the Berlin Jazz & Blues Award – they create a captivating dialogue between piano and cello, blending elements of jazz, classical music, and world music. The concert offers a partly improvised and heartfelt musical conversation across generations, rooted in shared artistry and mutual inspiration.
The programme will feature compositions by W\u0142odek Pawlik from various albums, as well as \u0141ukasz Pawlik\u2019s \u201cReflection\u201d from his acclaimed release \u201cLong-Distance Connections\u201d. Originally premiered at the W\u0142odek Pawlik Summer Jazz Festival in 2020, the project has since performed at numerous major venues across Europe, earning rave reviews.
