The 9th edition of the\u00a0Brussels Comic Strip Festiva<\/strong>l will take place on\u00a0September 13-15, 2019<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0Brussels Park<\/strong>. Once again, the Polish Institute Brussels will participate at the fair together with seven other members of the\u00a0EUNIC Brussels<\/strong>\u00a0network. Come meet\u00a0Polish comic book professionals and artists<\/strong>\u00a0Piotr Rosi\u0144ski<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(curator, artist),\u00a0\u0141ukasz Chmielewski<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(editor-in-chief of\u00a0Aleja Komiksu<\/a>),\u00a0Anna Krzto\u0144<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(illustrator) and\u00a0Marek Oleksicki<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0(illustrator) at the EUNIC stand!

About the Brussels Comic Strip Festival<\/strong>
Since its inauguration in 2010 by visit.brussels, the\u00a0Brussels Comic Strip Festival<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0has come a long way. Each year the Comics Festival welcomes nearly\u00a0100,000 visitors<\/strong>\u00a0and more than\u00a0250 comics artists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year, the Comic Strip Festival will once again set up shop in Brussels Park on\u00a0September 13, 14 and 15, 2019<\/strong>. For the first time in its history, the fair will open earlier on\u00a0Friday<\/strong>, at 10am, and offer\u00a0a special program for school groups<\/strong><\/a>. Beyond these few novelties, the public can expect to admire the classic giant balloon parade and they can look forward to a program filled to the brim with talks, screenings, signings, drawing session, workshops and many more activities suitable for all.

<\/strong>EUNIC<\/a>, an abbreviation of 'European Union National Institutes for Culture’, is a network of National Institutes for Culture from the member states of the European Union, which aims to contribute to cultural diversity inside and outside of the EU and to strengthen cultural dialogue and exchange. EUNIC Brussels is part of a network of over 90 EUNIC clusters present on all continents.

This year, EUNIC Brussels will be represented at the Comic Strip Festival by the cultural institutes and official representations of the\u00a0Basque Country, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Finland and Israel<\/strong>.
