Belgium&#8217;s biggest short film festival once again contains a series of surprising programmes: the Flemish and European Competitions, animation shorts, short documentaries, VR-films, live music, panel discussions, children&#8217;s films and workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">During the festival, as part of the European Competition, a film&nbsp;<strong>\u201cCan you hear me?\u201d by Anastazja Naumenko (Poland, 2025)<\/strong>&nbsp;will be presented. It tells the story of Nastia, who has been living abroad for a long time, has a Zoom call with her Ukrainian mother, who is not very tech-savvy. Her struggle with modern communication technology reflects the complicated communication process between mother and daughter.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"286\" height=\"161\" src=\"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/brussels\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/11\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-18516\" style=\"width:286px;height:auto\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program includes also the animated short&nbsp;<strong>\u201cAutokar\u201d by Sylwia Szki\u0142\u0105d\u017a<\/strong>, a Polish artist who studied in Belgium. It tells the story of&nbsp;8-year-old Agata, who moves from Podlasie in Poland to Brussels in the 1990s. While writing a letter to her father, her pencil falls and rolls away. As Agata searches for it between the bus seats, she enters a&nbsp;fantastical world&nbsp;inhabited by mysterious&nbsp;half-human, half-animal passengers.
