Trapped in the dark, suffocating tunnels, the group slowly unravels under exhaustion, fear, and lost hope. Drawing on screenwriter Jerzy Stefan Stawi\u0144ski&#8217;s own experience surviving the sewers, Kanal was the first film made about the Uprising.
