BIFFF<\/a>, the\u00a0Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival<\/strong>, is a major event in the Brussels cinemagoer\u2019s diary. The 37th edition will take place this year from\u00a009 until 21 April<\/strong>, and once again BOZAR<\/strong> will play host to the fantastic, the supernatural and the occult on its screens. This year, in International Premiere, Dark, Almost Night<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/a> will be on the programme in the presence of its director : Borys Lankosz<\/strong><\/a>.

Synopsis<\/strong>
In the small Polish city of Walbrzych, on the border with Germany, a series of mysterious child kidnappings take place. The police are at a loss and journalist Alicja Tabor starts looking into the case in the place she once called home. Along the way, she finds clues of dramatic events that took place decades earlier. In doing so, the investigative journalist\u2013as a rule not easily frightened\u2013has to face the family secrets she has been sweeping under the carpet for all of her adult life. She can no longer avoid the confrontation with her childhood and finally, everything comes together: the child disappearances, the war-tainted past, the legend of the Nazi gold train, and her own fate\u2026<\/p>\n

About Borys Lankosz
<\/strong>Director, screenwriter, maker of feature and documentary films. Graduate of the Lodz Film School Direction Department. Member of the Polish Film Academy and the European Film Academy. From the very beginning his films received high acclaim from audiences and critics alike, both at Polish and international film festivals. Already the director\u2019s debut, REVERSE, received numerous awards, among others, the Golden Lions Award at the Gdynia Film Festival. The film was also awarded eight Eagles by the Polish Film Academy, including for the Best Film.\n
