Cold War is no more.\u00a0We celebrate the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain<\/strong> with a unique multicultural photo exhibition<\/strong> that puts Eastern Europe in the spotlight.\u00a0Raising the Curtain<\/a> is a photo exhibition that gives a taste of Eastern Europe after the Cold War<\/strong> through different lenses.
Raising the Curtain combines the works of three different photographers with a unique vision on the Cold War and its aftermath. Among them, the Polish artist J\u0119drzej Franek<\/a><\/strong>, with his photo exhibition: Archigrafia<\/a>.

Architecture and urbanity. Compound of spatial and structural inspirations organised within natural and material frames. Author wants to capture mostly human or human influence in architectural environment, street stories and urbanscapes – sometimes it leads him to go underneath or beyond – to the nature and instinct. Many photographs on this site were taken and \/ or edited with a smartphone.

About\u00a0J\u0119drzej Franek<\/strong>:\u00a0

The Polish photographer was born in 1990. He studied International Relations at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144 and from 2014 he co-organized\u00a0the Pozna\u0144 Design Festival. He works as architecture photographer and visual marketing specialist in fashion art. Franek is the founder of the Pozna\u0144 Instagrammers Community and a member of the oldest Polish collective of mobile photography enthusiasts Grupa Mobilni. He was awarded during\u00a0international photography competitions like Mobile Photography Awards 2017 (honorable mention in the „Architecture” category) and the iPhone Photography Awards 2018 (third\u00a0place in the „Abstract”\u00a0category). In 2018 the young Polish photographer\u00a0was\u00a0invited to show his work in the exhibition „Post-Soviet Visions: Image and Identity in New Eastern Europe” organized by The Calvert Foundation in London. In November 2018 his photographs were presented in the exhibition „Here I Live” in the State Hermitage Museum in Saint\u00a0Peteresburg during the 13th „Dialogue of Cultures” conference.<\/div>\n

He studied International Relations at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Pozna\u0144 and from 2014 he co-organized\u00a0the Pozna\u0144 Design Festival. He works as architecture photographer and visual marketing specialist in fashion art. Franek is the founder of the Pozna\u0144 Instagrammers Community and a member of the oldest Polish collective of mobile photography enthusiasts Grupa Mobilni. He was awarded during\u00a0international photography competitions like Mobile Photography Awards 2017 (honorable mention in the \"Architecture\" category) and the iPhone Photography Awards 2018 (third\u00a0place in the \"Abstract\"\u00a0category). In 2018 the young Polish photographer\u00a0was\u00a0invited to show his work in the exhibition \"Post-Soviet Visions: Image and Identity in New Eastern Europe\" organized by The Calvert Foundation in London.
