More than two years after the citizens of the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union the future relationship between the UK and the EU remains unclear. In the spirit of proactive and responsible global citizenship, a number of steps have been taken to clarify what that relationship could or should be once BREXIT negotiations have been completed, while fully respecting the results of the vote to leave on June 23, 2016.
On Monday\u00a024\u00a0September<\/strong>\u00a0the\u00a0Centre for Fine Arts of Brussels<\/strong>\u00a0(BOZAR), in partnership with the European Cultural Foundation and the British Council, assembled leading cultural workers, directors, artists, and European federations assembled to raise their voices on Brexit and its potential impact on their fields: from music to design, audiovisual, architecture, visual arts, performing art, or publishing.
Coming from all over the EU, participants clearly expressed their concerns that their interests may have been overlooked, and that the power of these sectors has been underestimated.
The Polish Institute in Brussels invited Mrs.\u00a0Marta SORDYL<\/a>,\u00a0Community Engagement Officer at\u00a0Lambeth Early Action Partnership (LEAP) in London.

Marta SORDYL<\/strong>\u00a0is a highly experienced\u00a0Community Development Worker. She is professionally trained in community organising and The National Leadership Program. In addition she is skilled in coordinating large scale projects to help communities identify their assets, opportunities, rights and responsibilities in order to empower them. Her work includes liaising with local residents in planning appropriate action to enable and generate community aspiration and confidence. Over the last 5 years she has developed a number of successful projects focused on working around capacity building with the Polish and non – Polish speaking residents in the London Borough of Lambeth. Marta is currently working with Stockwell Partnership, a UK based charity that aims to improve the quality of life in the local neighbourhood through the undertaking of social projects. At the heart of the work carried out by Marta and Stockwell Partnerships is the strengthening of community cohesion as well as providing support to residents so that they are more able to take action on issues they care about. Marta is passionate and dedicated to working closely with local authorities, the Polish Embassy, and Cultural Institutions to implement projects focused on promoting Polish culture and community participation in the UK.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
