It\u2019s now an annual event: the\u00a0Parc de Bruxelles\u00a0<\/strong>hosting the\u00a0<\/span>Comic Strip Festival<\/strong><\/a>. This edition, which will take place from\u00a01st until 3 September<\/strong>, will welcome two Polish authors:\u00a0Wojciech STEFANIEC<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Maciej PALKA<\/strong><\/a>. They will present their work and will be signing their books at the\u00a0EUNIC<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0stand, located in the\u00a0international pavilion<\/a>. The former will participate in a livedrawing session whilst the latter will run the workshop\u00a0How to improvise a comic?<\/em>\u00a0How can you start a comic when you\u2019re stumped for ideas? How do you make a comic funny? What is the easiest way to publish your comic? This workshop will help you learn how to improvise and create your own comic!\u00a0

Comic Strip Festival<\/strong>
Since 2009, the Comic Strip Festival has been the place in Brussels to celebrate the comic in all its forms, welcoming more than 100,000 people each year. Children and adults, amateurs or specialists, there’s something for everyone in the multitude of activities on offer.
For the 2017 edition, Brussels is gearing up for a colourful weekend from 1 until 3 September, with its now renowned Festival BD: the Parc de Bruxelles will be housing the Comic Museums, dozens of exhibitions, booksellers, comic book and desktop-publishing dealers, conferences, workshops and hundreds of authors signing their works!\u00a0
However, the Comic Festival is also a night-time event in the Parc de Bruxelles, the Balloon\u2019s Day Parade, the Tintin Rally Magazine, guided tours, comic exhibitions and activities all over the city.<\/p>\n

EUNIC Brussels
<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>EUNIC<\/a>, an abbreviation of 'European Union National Institutes for Culture’, is a network of National Institutes for Culture from the Member States of the European Union, which aims to contribute to cultural diversity inside and outside of the EU and to strengthen cultural dialogue and exchange. EUNIC Brussels is part of a network of over 90 EUNIC clusters present on all continents.
The EUNIC stand during the Comic Strip Festival is an event organised by the cultural institutes and official representations of the Basque Country, Estonia, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Turkey.<\/p>\n
