Bound by exclusive contract to Deutsche Grammophon since 2006 (like his compatriot Krystian ZIMERMAN),\u00a0Rafa\u0142 BLECHACZ<\/strong>\u00a0has released 5 albums, the most recent of which \u2013 devoted solely to Johann Sebastian BACH \u2013 is out on\u00a07 February<\/strong>\u00a02017.
The near-legendary winner of the Chopin Competition in 2005, Rafa\u0142 BLECHACZ (who will be 32 in June) has built a career which has taken him to the largest concert halls in the world, playing with great conductors and orchestras with a mastery which won him the Gilmore Artist Award, a prize awarded every four years to a stand-out artist whose path is followed and evaluated behind the scenes by an international panel. \u00a0

The\u00a0International Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin Competition for piano<\/strong>, better known as the Chopin Competition, is one of the oldest and most prestgious competitions worldwide. The festival was founded by the Polish pianist Jerzy \u017burawlew (1886-1980) and takes place every five years. It is entirely dedicated to one composer: Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin. The\u00a017th edition of the competition<\/a>\u00a0ended on\u00a023 October<\/strong>\u00a02015<\/strong>\u00a0with an exceptional winner: the South-Korean\u00a0Seong-Jin Cho<\/strong>.
