Made a biennial event in 2014, Ars Musica is now a firm fixture of the Brussels autumn programme. \u00a0The theme of this edition is\u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">\u2018The Land of the Rising Sound\u2019<\/strong>, an allusion to the fascination the west feels towards Japan. The superb festival poster was created by Polish graphic designer\u00a0<a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.culturepolonaise.eu\/3,4,738,en,Drummer_Hubert_ZEMLER_is_participating_in_the_project_TOKYO_MAGNETIC#MB\">Micha\u0142 BATORY<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12px;line-height: 19.2px\">Even if plenty of spots have been earmarked for Japanese artists this year (T. Takemistu, M. Ishii, D. Fujikura, K. Sakai, T. Sauvage, R. Kuroda), Europeans and Americans will still be out in force. The project\u00a0<a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.arsmusica.be\/2016\/?concert=tokyo-magnetic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TOKYO MAGNETIC<\/a>, commissioned by Ars Musica, came about from a desire to build bridges between east and west. This global design event will take place on Monday\u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">14 November<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">20:00<\/strong>.\u00a0<em style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">Tokyo Magnetic<\/em>, directed by J.-L. Marchand, attempts to lend a visual and auditory image to the Japanese metropolis through the work of European artists. The project launched in Brussels, will then be shown in Asia and Japan. The clarinet\/saxophonist duo Duadueduiduo (J.-L. Marchand\/C. He has played in Europe, the United States, Turkey, the Middle East, Korea and Japan. He was awarded bronze medal at the IIIrd Delphic Games in South Korea in the Solo Percussion category.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>His incandescent talent in performing classical pieces, notably with symphony orchestras, is matched by his expertise in contemporary music. He is one of the most active Polish percussionists and, simultaneously, one of the most creative on the Warsaw-based experimental\/free jazz scene.
