At every edition, two countries are invited to put forward artists who join forces with Belgian designers over the three months of the event: this year, the Netherlands and Poland will be taking centre stage!\u00a0<strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">No fewer than 40 artists will be present, including 11 from Poland<\/strong>\u00a0(see the names\u00a0<a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.culturepolonaise.eu\/3,4,727,en,Poland_invited_to_take_part_in_the_Triennial_for_Ceramics_and_Glass#iciiciiciici\">HERE<\/a>).<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>The triennial is organised by the\u00a0<a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" href=\"http:\/\/www.wcc-bf.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Crafts Council<\/a>\u00a0of French-speaking Belgium (WCC-BF) whose headquarters can be found in the Anciens Abattoirs, Mons. As is the case every year, the WCC-BF has designated a curator for every participating country. Real ceramics objects mingle together with their animate images creating specific context in which they are percieved \u2018The vision of objects freed from the shell of permanence and gravitationsal force is materialized in a video image and virtual space&#8217; says the artist.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>He is a Head of Department of Interdisciplinary Activities at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Art and Design in Wroc\u0142aw.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" name=\"MG\"><\/a><strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">Monika GRYCKO\u00a0<\/strong><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>Monika graduated from the Faculty of Sculpture of Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. She uses sculptural installations as her means of expression. There is a short distance between animal and human nature in her art as she focuses on the study of the figure in relation to the surrounding enviroment. She freely crosses the borders between the materials, using in her installations ceramics and animal bones for the sculptures together with found objects.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>She lives and works in Faenza, Italy.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" name=\"AJ\"><\/a><strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">Antonina JOSZCZUK\u00a0<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><\/strong>Antonina focuses on contrasts, her interests and realisations shift between the known and the unknown, between the tangible and ephemeral, between light and darkness, white and black. She makes glass objects and installations.\u00a0<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>She works at her alma mater, the Academy of Art and Design in Wroc\u0142aw at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" name=\"MK\"><\/a><strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">Marta KLONOWSKA\u00a0<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><\/strong>Marta graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass of the Academy of Art and Design in Wroc\u0142aw. In her work she uses animal themes that have been an important part of art for ages. For the inspiration and the themes of her works she looks at the paintings of great masters, selecting the animals present there and incorporating them as the main characters of her work.\u00a0<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>She lives and works in D\u00fcsserdolf, Germany.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" name=\"KM\"><\/a><strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">Karina MARUSI\u0143SKA<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><\/strong>Karina&#8217;s interests go far beyond the material itself. Although she started as a designer, through her latest works she analyzes the condition of contemporary society and the surrounding world. Her art shifted away from the product and its material, physical form. In her practice \u2018Form follows Thought\u2019.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>She works at her alma mater,the Academy of Art and Design in Wroc\u0142aw at the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" name=\"MP\"><\/a><strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">Monika PATUSZY\u0143SKA\u00a0<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><\/strong>Monika graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass of the Academy of Art and Design in Wroc\u0142aw. She literally and figuratively breaks the moulds. She is interested in exploring and questioning the processes commonly attached to making. She explores material qualities and its combinations, mixing natural and human made materials together.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>She lives and works in London, UK.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><a style=\"color: #bdc0c2;line-height: 19.2px;cursor: pointer\" name=\"MR\"><\/a><strong style=\"line-height: 19.2px\">Monika RUBANIUK<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/><\/strong>Monika graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass of the Academy of Art and Design in Wroc\u0142aw.<br style=\"line-height: 19.2px\" \/>She rejects the use of colour being primaly interested in a form and the sculptural features of glass. Her inspirations come from the shapes present in nature that she converts into glass sculptures. In his works he emphasizes the best of what a material such as glass can offer, playing with colours and light. She works in all scales from small, handsize pieces to huge installations filling up entire rooms. She blures the boundaries between the media she uses: printmaking, ceramic sculpture and painting. Ceramics often become a canvas for her graphic design. The primary topics of her works are social problems.
