Many ensembles find that this building, with is wonderful acoustics, is the perfect setting for them: one can cite the NFM Philharmonic Orchestra, the NFM Choir, the Polish Cello Quartet, the Lutosławski Quartet… the list goes on. The NFM also plays host to festivals of international renown, such as the Wratislavia Cantans, the Musica Polonica Nova, the Musica Electronica Nova or Jazztopad.
Pictures by Łukasz Rajchert. An initiative launched last year in Mons, which was European Capital of Culture in 2015, it thus built a cultural bridge between the two cities: the concert Contemporary Sound of Poland. The Polish group Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej, conducted by Szymon BYWALEC, used Mons as the stage on which to present pieces by contemporary Polish composers, chiefly from Silesia, the region where Wrocław is located (Henryk Mikołaj GÓRECKI, Pawel MYKIETYN, Agata ZUBEL, Cezary DUCHNOWSKI, Przemysław SCHELLER and Jarosław MAMCZARSKI). In Wrocław, it will be contemporary music from Wallonia which will be celebrated! More information soon.+++ The 2015 project on our website: HERE+++ The project paved the way for the publication of a bilingual (FR/NL) brochure entitled "Imaginary Landscape.
