„The worst thing is wanting everything and getting nothing”, says D\u00e9veinard, a noose around his neck, as he prepares to end it all. „The worst thing is when you don’t want anything anymore because you already have everything”, retorts, pistol in hand, Eveinard, who succeeds at everything he does. The scene is a seaside resort on a summer’s day, which provides the backdrop for an encounter and the beginning of a succession of incongruous situations, irrestistibly satirical in nature, absurd and yet so funny.\u00a0<\/em>S\u0142awomir MRO\u017bEK<\/a>\u00a0delighted in reminding us in this play, written in 1983, of his taste for far-fetched situations which have the absurd flavour of reality, but not without adding a few gloriously cynical touches on the woes of a society which is forced to succeed. \u00a0
<\/em>
The 56th edition of the\u00a0Festival de Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Spa<\/a>\u00a0will be held in the spa town from\u00a07 until 16 August<\/strong>. This year, it will be putting on the play\u00a0Jour d\u2019Et\u00e9<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>by\u00a0S\u0142awomir MRO\u017bEK<\/strong>\u00a0in a production by\u00a0Alan BOURGEOIS<\/strong>\u00a0and a translation by\u00a0Jean-Yves ERHEL<\/strong>. Presented as a reading at the Eurotopiques festival in May 2014, the play will come to life at the Festival de Spa.\u00a0Be one of the first to see it!<\/strong>

He started his career as a caricaturist aged 20, working for the newspaper \u00a0Dziennik Polski, reacting to the demands of the communist ideology of the time. 1964 saw his reputation begin to travel far beyond Polish borders when his play 'Tango’ was published.
