THORGAL, the hero of the epic illustrated saga drawn by\u00a0Grzegorz ROSI\u0143SKI<\/a>\u00a0and scripted by\u00a0Jean VAN HAMME<\/a>, takes centre stage in a second exhibition which is being held at the Belgian Comic Strip Center:\u00a0THE UNIVERSE OF THORGAL<\/em>, part two of the\u00a0Rosi\u0144ski \u2013 Thorgal \u2013 Van Hamme<\/em>\u00a0triptych. Together with\u00a0ROSI\u0143SKI FROM POLAND<\/a>, this new exhibition gives pride of place to the series Les Mondes de Thorgal, which comprises three cycles:\u00a0Kriss de Valnor<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0Louve<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0La jeunesse de Thorgal<\/em><\/strong>. Thus, alongside original works by Grzegorz ROSI\u0143SKI, who has been transferring his colours directly to the plates since the noughties, visitors will be able to discover the drawings of Giulio DE VITA (from the\u00a0Kriss de Valnor<\/em>\u00a0cycle) and Roman SURZHENKO (from the other two cycles), aided by outstanding scriptwriters: Jean VAN HAMME (Thorgal<\/em>), Yves SENTE (Kriss de Valnorr<\/em>) and Yann (Louve<\/em>,\u00a0La jeunesse de Thorgal<\/em>).\u00a0

Grzegorz ROSI\u0143SKI<\/strong>
When he discovered comic books in 1953, Grzegorz Rosi\u0144ski, then aged 12, knew that his future would reside in this new medium. Indeed, telling the stories found in comic books became part of his daily life, well before he met the scriptwriter Jean Van Hamme in 1976. Now, the public knows the series\u00a0<\/span>Thorgal\u00a0<\/em>well. It was a joint project between the two men, complete with Rosi\u0144ski\u2019s very distinctive drawings, plausible stories and typical readability.<\/span><\/p>\n
