LA LOGE<\/a>, a space for contemporary art, architecture and theory, is devoting\u00a0three Saturday afternoons in March\u00a0<\/strong>to the work and heritage of\u00a0Oscar HANSEN<\/strong>\u00a0(1922-2005).
Oskar HANSEN was an architect, theorist, pedagogue and artist who, in 1959, developed the theory of the 'Open Form’, a philosophy putting human activity at the centre of every discipline.
With this dyanmic seminar, the organisers would like to bring the heritage and work of Hansen face to face with the practices and problems of the contemporary world, in a spirit of sharing and criticism based on documentation, contextual historical information and contributions from architects, theorists and Polish and international artists.

LA LOGE\u00a0<\/strong>is a Brussels-based space dedicated to contemporary art, architecture and theory that began its activities in 2012.
Its aim is to develop a high-quality program that plays a critical role in today\u2019s cultural conversations through specific and precise projects. Architects, artists, curators and cultural agents are invited to develop propositions in which they seek out the characteristic and the peculiar within their practices.
La Loge is a space where ideas, discussion and presentation coexist. Public formats vary depending on the project; from exhibitions, symposiums, screenings, lectures, and performances to events\u2019 series.
La Loge\u2019s identity is drawn from the architectural gem that houses it, as well as from the commitment and concerns of its founders. La Loge values engagement of thought and feels particularly interested in exploring questions of space, habitat and use.
The small-scale format of La Loge contributes to a context where intimate and direct conversations with its audience and the diversity of protagonists it invites can be initiated and sustained.
La Loge is a privately initiated non-profit association founded by architect Philippe Rotthier. Its board members are: Thierry Belenger (design expert and curator), Genevi\u00e8ve Fran\u00e7ois (former Wallonie-Bruxelles delegate), Bartomeu Mar\u00ed (director of MACBA, Museu d\u2019Art Contemporani de Barcelona), Caroline Mierop (director of the \u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure des arts visuels de La Cambre, Brussels) and its founder and patron, Philippe Rotthier (architect). All members of the board are professionally engaged in initiatives that deal with and question art, architecture and design. La Loge\u2019s director is Anne-Claire Schmitz.
