CINE PRIVE<\/a>\u00a0is a festival organised by\u00a0CIRCA<\/strong>\u00a0devoted exclusively to cinema and the media in a broad sense. Its\u00a0goal\u00a0is\u00a0to\u00a0highlight\u00a0the\u00a0works\u00a0of\u00a0promising talent, be they the maker of short films, feature-length films, animated films, documentaries or even art installations, music and photography. What makes the festival special is that it takes place in the exceptional surroundings that put on the animated films and cinema screenings: the festival centre is the 'Maison des Dockers’, in the port of Ghent.
The eighth edition of the festival will take place this year from\u00a011-14 February.

This year has a particular link to Poland<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0because Cin\u00e9 Priv\u00e9 will be in Gda\u0144sk during\u00a0Flanders Week in Gda\u0144sk<\/a>\u00a0(14-21 March 2015) due to the collaboration between CIRCA and the Pozna\u0144\u00a0SHORT WAVES<\/a>\u00a0Festival, a festival of Polish shorts with which the Polish Institute will be involved for the second time in March 2015. But above all, this year,\u00a0Poland will take pride of place in the programme<\/strong>. The\u00a012 February<\/strong>\u00a0will be given over to a retrospective of shorts made by producers born in the 1980’s.
During the Polish evening, the public has the opportunity to meet\u00a0Szymon Stemplewski<\/strong>, artistic director of the Festival Short Waves, and\u00a0Przemys\u0142aw Wojciechowski<\/strong>, project coordinator for the Centre for Contemporary Art\u00a0\u0141a\u017ania<\/a>\u00a0from the City of Gda\u0144sk. They will present the Polish programme, as well as the artistic cooperation between the cities Ghent and Gda\u0144sk.
