Feminist, supported by the strength and determination of its female characters, „Cz\u0105stki kobiety”\/ Pieces of a Woman tells the drama of a woman and a family in today’s Warsaw. Maja and Lars, her partner, two ordinary young people, decide to have a family. Their lives suddenly turn upside down when Maja gives birth at home and loses her child. As the main character confronted with a personal tragedy, she is led to question her whole life and reconsider relationships with her family. As if observed through a magnifying glass, a family reunion, will bring on the table the problems and internal conflicts of Polish society.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the success of their first collaboration (Nietoperz<\/em>, 2012), TR Warszawa called upon Korn\u00e9l Mundrucz\u00f3 once again. The first performance of „Cz\u0105stki kobiety” (text by Kata W\u00e9ber, direction by Korn\u00e9l Mundrucz\u00f3) took place on December 13, 2018 on the stage of TR Warszawa theater. Since then, „Pieces of a Woman” has become one of the most recognized plays over the past few seasons. It was warded several times, including in Krakow at the Grand Prix of the 12th Divine Comedy Theater Festival in 2019 and its actors, Justyna Wasilewska and Dobromir Dymecki also won awards, each in their own category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Cz\u0105stki kobiety” is a live image depicting contemporary women who fight for their right to decide their own lives. The authors portray each character with expressiveness and empathy. They do not judge neither do they criticize the people gathered around the table. The performance, supported by a flawless acting, uses the cinematographic tool to capture the realism of the situation in detail and offers an intimate story. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s mention that Korn\u00e9l Mundrucz\u00f3, following with his work in the theatre stage, has brought in 2020 Kata W\u00e9ber’s text to the cinema also. This year, after the postponement of the performances in 2020 due to sanitary measures, you will have the chance to watch this play on two occasions: Monday 10\/05 and Tuesday 11\/05 from 9:00 to 11:30 pm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
