For more than 10 years, the festival&#8217;s evolution has demonstrated the desire to set up a high-level international event in Brussels, cultural capital city in the heart of Europe. The fishmeal is exported to Europe and China to feed animals for industrial farming. As a result, the local population of Gambia is being deprived of their primary source of protein while overfishing impoverishes marine ecosystems.
