The Brussels Planetarium Poetry Fes<\/a>t mixes texts, projections, science, heritage and other themes for unique creations to be experienced and contemplated under the dome of the largest planetarium in Europe, the one in Brussels. <\/p>\n

All the poets and performers of the festival have been invited to create an original piece to be performed on the Planetarium dome and address themes oscillating between science, religion, intangible heritage, (de)colonization and white masculinity.  Their texts and recordings have been transformed by the Planetarium’s technicians to adapt to the specific conditions of the place, integrating the use of 3D projections, photos and scientific innovations. <\/p>\n

In this context, Weronika Maja Lewandowska will introduce us to her work as a young Polish poet and performer in an immersive experience not to be missed.<\/p>\n

Weronika Maja Lewandowska<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Weronika wears several hats and has a varied career: poet, researcher in new media, lecturer and doctor in cultural studies, director and screenwriter…<\/p>\n

She has managed to make her name and her personal touch known thanks to countless projects, among which the VR Noccc\/VR Nightsss<\/a>, a virtual erotic poem that she scripted and produced and for which she was awarded at the Sundance Film Festival<\/em>. The screenplay is based on her poem Noccc<\/em>, which has been translated into thirteen languages and presented in over twenty countries.\u00a0 She also collaborated in the audiovisual project plan.kton<\/a> which was exported to the Illustrative Festival<\/em> in Berlin, to the Budapest Transzfer Literature Festival<\/em>, to the Live Performers Meeting<\/em> in Mexico City, and gained recognition in the poet’s own country at the PatchLab\/ Bunkier Sztuki<\/em> in Krakow.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her universe pleases the audience and associates her today with the international scene of oral poetry. Her melodic poems transcend linguistic barriers and we feel lucky to welcome her in Brussels.<\/p>\n
