There is nearly two million students in Poland \u2013 that is almost half of the whole student age population (from 19 to 24 years). Students have a huge selection of type of study. In Poland there are nearly five hundred colleges and universities. The walls of colleges and universities leaves 400,000 graduates per year.<\/p>\n

In the year 2007 the first enrolment took place for an innovative programme, Polish Studies for International Students, aimed\u00a0 for foreigners who wished to learn the Polish language and encounter the Polish culture. Since that time, over two hundred international students have enrolled on our programme. During the 6 semesters of study the students have an opportunity to develop their command of the Polish language and study Polish history, culture and literature.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HIGHER EDUCATION IN POLAND\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to the Bologna Process Polish universities offer studies at three levels of teaching:<\/p>\n

\u2022 First degree – BA or BSc, in order to obtain knowledge and skills in a specific area of training, preparing to work in a specific profession, leading to the bachelor or engineer.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Second-degree – master’s degree program, in order to obtain expertise in a specific area of training, as well as preparation for creative work in a specific profession, leading to the master’s degree or equivalent.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Study the third degree \u2013 PHD studies, for which candidates are admitted with a master’s degree or equivalent degree, in order to obtain advanced knowledge in a particular field or discipline of science, preparing them for independent research and creative activity and to obtain the academic degree of doctor.<\/p>\n

Students who have obtained a university degree have the opportunity to continue learning in postgraduate programs.<\/p>\n
