O.N.E. is an acoustic jazz quartet creating in the spirit of democracy. Their name is a clever double entendre: in Polish, \u201cone\u201d (pronounced oh-neh) means \u201cthey\u201d in the feminine plural \u2013 an apt nod to the all-female lineup. In English, of course, it signifies unity. Both meanings reflect the band\u2019s egalitarian, leaderless approach and cohesive group sound. Their third album Well, actually\u2026 was released on April Records in October 2025. Grounded in the spirit of democracy and collective improvisation, the album offers a tightly woven set of original compositions by all four members that blur the lines between modal jazz lyricism and the raw energy of free improvisation. It\u2019s a dialogue between contrasting temperaments, influences, and sensibilities \u2013 where modern jazz meets tradition, lyricism collides with humor and structure gives way to spontaneity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their name is a clever double entendre: in Polish, \u201cone\u201d (pronounced oh-neh) means \u201cthey\u201d in the feminine plural \u2013 an apt nod to the all-female lineup. In English, of course, it signifies unity. Both meanings reflect the band\u2019s egalitarian, leaderless approach and cohesive group sound. Their third album Well, actually\u2026 was released on April Records in October 2025. Grounded in the spirit of democracy and collective improvisation, the album offers a tightly woven set of original compositions by all four members that blur the lines between modal jazz lyricism and the raw energy of free improvisation.
