Eine Ausstellung in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Polnischen Institut D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/p>\n

Die Ausstellung untersucht die Beziehungen zwischen Wort und Text, zwischen Poesie und Bild. Kurator Daniel Muzyczuk<\/strong> hat herausragende K\u00fcnstlerinnen und K\u00fcnstler verschiedener Generationen eingeladen, die mit unterschiedlichen Medien arbeiten.<\/p>\n

Zu sehen sind unter anderem Werke von Pawe\u0142 Kowalewski<\/strong>, dem Mitbegr\u00fcnder der K\u00fcnstlergruppe GRUPPA<\/strong>, einer der wichtigsten k\u00fcnstlerischen Formationen der polnischen Kunst der 1980er Jahre. Die Ausstellung im Museum Jerke bietet eine seltene Gelegenheit, Werke des K\u00fcnstlers aus jener Zeit ebenso wie seine neuesten Bilder zu sehen. Au\u00dferdem wird das Schaffen von Andrzej Partum<\/strong>, geboren 1938, vorgestellt \u2013 einem der bedeutendsten Pioniere der neoavantgardistischen Kunst im Nachkriegspolen.<\/p>\n

Gezeigt werden auch einzigartige Arbeiten von Ma\u0142gorzata Rittersschild<\/strong> aus den 1980er und 1990er Jahren sowie Werke anerkannter Vertreterinnen der j\u00fcngeren Generation, geboren in den 1990er Jahren \u2013 Zuzanna Bartoszek<\/strong> und Agata Ingarden<\/strong>. \u201e\u201aDu m\u00fcsstest das sehen!\u2018 \u2013 dieser Satz beendet die Diskussion und l\u00e4sst die Welten des Sichtbaren und des W\u00f6rtlichen in ewiger Trennung. Die Erfahrung lehrt uns jedoch, dass man nicht alles sehen muss, um davon zu erz\u00e4hlen. Und auch, dass die Erz\u00e4hlung \u00fcber ein Objekt oft weit interessanter ist als sein tats\u00e4chliches Erscheinen\u201c,

Die Veranstaltung findet an einem besonderen Ort statt \u2013 im Museum Jerke<\/strong>, einer privaten Institution, gegr\u00fcndet vom Sammler und Kunstm\u00e4zen Werner Jerke<\/strong>. Es ist das erste und bisher einzige Museum<\/strong>, das ausschlie\u00dflich der polnischen Kunst gewidmet ist<\/strong>, und sich au\u00dferhalb Polens<\/strong> befindet.<\/p>\n

Die Ausstellung \u201eWorte spiegeln sich in sich selbst\u201c<\/em> wurde erstmals in der Stefan-Gierowski-Stiftung<\/strong> in Warschau gezeigt. Das Projekt wird aus Mitteln des Ministers f\u00fcr Kultur und Nationalerbe<\/strong> aus dem Fonds zur F\u00f6rderung der Kultur<\/strong> im Rahmen des Programms \u201eF\u00f6rderung der polnischen Kultur im Ausland 2025\u201c<\/strong> finanziert.<\/p>\n

On November 8, 2025, the Jerke Museum in Recklinghausen will open a unique exhibition entitled „Words Reflect on Themselves,” featuring works by Polish artists.<\/p>\n

In Kooperation with the Polish Institute D\u00fcsseldorf.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will explore the relationships between words and text, poetry and images. Curator Daniel Muzyczuk has invited renowned artists from different generations who work in various media to participate.<\/p>\n

The exhibition will feature works by Pawe\u0142 Kowalewski, founder and co-creator of Gruppa, one of the most important artistic formations in Polish art of the 1980s. The exhibition at the Museum Jerke is a unique opportunity to see the artist’s works from this period, as well as his latest paintings. Visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the work of Andrzej Partum, an artist born in 1938 who was one of the most respected pioneers of neo-avant-garde art in post-war Poland.<\/p>\n

There will also be unique works by Ma\u0142gorzata Rittersschild from the 1980s and 1990s, as well as by renowned artists from the younger generation, born in the 1990s – Zuzanna Bartoszek and Agata Ingarden. The exhibition will also feature works by other outstanding artists, including Wojciech B\u0105kowski, Tomasz Kowalski, Anna Ostoi, and Tomasz \u017bo\u0142nierkiewicz. The exhibition will be accompanied by ekphrases\u2014poetic works by Zuzanna Bartoszek, Marcin Czerkasow, Darek Foks, Emilia Konwerska, and Natalia Malek.<\/p>\n

„You’d have to see it!” is a phrase that ends the discussion and leaves the worlds of eyewitness accounts and literalism in eternal separation. However, experience teaches us that you don’t have to see everything to talk about it. It also teaches us that a story about an object is often much more interesting than its appearance, writes the exhibition’s curator, Daniel Muzyczuk, director of the Museum of Art in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a.<\/p>\n

The exhibition presents the works of artists who, when creating images, use mediation through text and the various relationships that can occur between the spheres of text and image. We will see non-existent objects whose appearance is mediated by a story. We will also see works that rely on destabilizing their meaning through ambiguous text, as well as images-diary pages and images-inkwells… This exhibition is not to be missed!<\/p>\n

The event will take place in a unique location – the Jerke Museum, a private institution founded by collector and patron of the arts Werner Jerke. It is the first and so far the only museum dedicated exclusively to Polish art located outside Poland. The exhibition „Words Reflect Each Other” had its first showing at the Stefan Gierowski Foundation in Warsaw. The project was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the 2025 Promotion of Polish Culture Abroad program.<\/p>\n
