On 24 May, we invite all connoisseurs to a new meeting with the majestic classics performed by our symphony orchestra! This evening, we once again welcome to our hall a star conductor, a famous Polish and Ukrainian artist, an ardent promoter of the works of contemporary composers Roman Revakovich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are sure that our regular audience knows that thanks to this extraordinary creative figure, our programme will be full of special energy! Roman Revakovich is known for his collaboration with a number of Ukrainian and Polish symphony and chamber orchestras, and is a regular participant in many international festivals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thanks to Mr Revakovych, the music community is discovering the names of talented contemporary artists whose works are performed in various programmes thanks to his initiative and support. As the founder and president of the Pro Musica Viva Foundation, Roman Revakovych promotes such musical projects as the Days of Ukrainian Music in Warsaw, and is a member of the Witold Lutos\u0142awski Society and co-author of the musical part of the Warsaw Crossroads Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At our concert, thanks to the cooperation with the Pro Musica Viva Foundation and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland and the Polish Institute in Kyiv, we have a unique opportunity to hear the works of two famous Polish artists – Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko, who is called the father of Polish national opera, and Witold Lutos\u0142awski, a contemporary composer, conductor, innovator, public figure, and teacher. Another highlight of this evening will be the majestic work of Franz Schubert – his Symphony No. 9 in C major, known as the \u2018Great\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And we have great news for our audience: at the concert, we will hear the virtuoso performance of a talented Kyiv pianist, soloist and executive director of the Kyiv Camerata, Honoured Artist of Ukraine Dmytro Tavants!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
