The novel \u201cThe Issa Valley\u201d by Czes\u0142aw Mi\u0142osz, laureate of the Nobel Prize of 1980 (1911-2004), is the third book, after the \u201cSelected works\u201d poetry collection (2008) and \u201cThe Land of Ulro\u201d essay (2015), of the prominent Polish author which is printed in the \u201cUniverse\u201d publishing house. In spite of being prosaic, the book is written in a very poetic language and tells about the author\u2019s discovery of his roots. The protagonist of \u201cThe Issa Valley\u201d, the boy Tomasz (author\u2019s alter ego), seeks answers to the questions: \u201cHow do you become who you are?\u201d The wise and deeply philosophical book, as is always the case with Mi\u0142osz, prompts to ponder about the visible identity of the character and about one\u2019s own nature as well as about the human nature in general.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
