Among them are writers Joseph Conrad Korzeniowski and Stanislaw Lem, artist Kazimir Malevich, dancer Vatslav Nijinsky, composer Karol Szymanowski and others. Most of these prominent artists are not associated directly neither with Poland nor with Ukraine. The creation of the Malevich Award is a reason to remind about the contribution of the Poles associated with Ukraine in the forming of the world cultural heritage.\nKazimir Malevich was an artist, pedagogue and theoretician, whose figure is crucial for modern art. He was born in a Polish family in Kyiv and spent many years of his life there. For a long time he lived and worked in Russia. He became one of the founders of abstract painting and in 1915 started a new avant-garde art direction, suprematism.\nIn 2010 the excursion \"Kyiv places of Kazimir Malevich\" was created with the support of the Polish Institute in Kyiv.\nAnd in 2012 the group of Alevtyna Kakhidze, Oleh Hryshchenko, and Ivan Melnychuk created the author's film \"KLM: Kyiv Listens to Malevich\"."},{"@type":"ImageObject","inLanguage":"pl-PL","@id":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/en\/2014\/09\/01\/the-kazimir-malevich-artistic-award-2014\/#primaryimage","url":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2021\/07\/premia_2014_logo.png","contentUrl":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2021\/07\/premia_2014_logo.png","width":425,"height":285},{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/en\/2014\/09\/01\/the-kazimir-malevich-artistic-award-2014\/#breadcrumb","itemListElement":[{"@type":"ListItem","position":1,"name":"Home","item":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/"},{"@type":"ListItem","position":2,"name":"The Kazimir Malevich Artistic Award 2014"}]},{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/#website","url":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/","name":"Instytut Polski w Kijowie","description":"Instytuty Polskie","potentialAction":[{"@type":"SearchAction","target":{"@type":"EntryPoint","urlTemplate":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/?s={search_term_string}"},"query-input":{"@type":"PropertyValueSpecification","valueRequired":true,"valueName":"search_term_string"}}],"inLanguage":"pl-PL"},{"@type":"Person","@id":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/#\/schema\/person\/d866a3625e2372765831e1399715ed52","name":"stakhivskaj","image":{"@type":"ImageObject","inLanguage":"pl-PL","@id":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/#\/schema\/person\/image\/","url":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ecf64eaf0b1c478b2d56e921c6cb89ba?s=96&d=mm&r=g","contentUrl":"https:\/\/secure.gravatar.com\/avatar\/ecf64eaf0b1c478b2d56e921c6cb89ba?s=96&d=mm&r=g","caption":"stakhivskaj"},"sameAs":["stakhivskaj"],"url":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/author\/stakhivskaj\/"}]}},"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8515","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/134"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=8515"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8515\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":8517,"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/8515\/revisions\/8517"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/8513"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=8515"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=8515"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/instytutpolski.pl\/kyiv\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=8515"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
