Some of these pieces come from as long ago as the turn of the 18th and 19th and centuries, have been preserved in the library of the Holy Mountain Monastery and are an important part of the Polish musical heritage. The most famous ones were written by J\u00f3zef Zeidler who is often called \u201cthe Polish Mozart\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The music will be performed by the&nbsp;<strong>Katowice City Singers&#8217; Ensemble \u2013 Camerata Silesia<\/strong>&nbsp;and soloists:&nbsp;<strong>Iwona Hossa<\/strong>&nbsp;(soprano),&nbsp;<strong>Agnieszka Rehlis<\/strong>&nbsp;(mezzosoprano),&nbsp;<strong>Rafa\u0142 Bartmi\u0144ski<\/strong>&nbsp;(tenor),&nbsp;<strong>Robert Gierlach&nbsp;<\/strong>(baritone). J\u00f3zef Zeidler spent most of his life in Gosty\u0144 and is regarded as one of the most outstanding representatives of the Polish Classicism. He joined the Holy Mountain Monastery around 1775 as a mature and already renowned musician and became a member of the Philippine priests\u2019 ensemble. After the cassation of the order in 1876 Zeidler\u2019s manuscripts were dispersed or destroyed and only 16 pieces have been preserved till our times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra and Camerata Silesia will perform interpretation of Zeidler\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Prayer for Rain<\/em>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<em>Pastorella<\/em>. His&nbsp;<em>D-dur Mass<\/em>&nbsp;will be a leading part of the programme. This composition was written with genuine youthful bravery and its numerous solo arias, duets and melodic instrumental passages are extremely challenging in interpretation. The core of the&nbsp;<em>Mass ex D<\/em>&nbsp;are choirs, often supported by very effectful violin and trumpet parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The programme to be presented at the Lviv Cathedral during the concert on 11 September 2016 comprises only a small part of accomplishments of Polish composers connected with the Congregation of the Philippine Priests at the Holy Mountain.
