Zbigniew Urbalewicz, graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University of Torun with Master’s of Arts in 1996, as an artist is interested in drawing, graphics, calligraphy, japanese calligraphy, sumie painting, lettering and graphic design. He works at the University of Warmia and Mazury at the Department of Arts as well as he provides calligraphy and lettering classes, workshops and shows. Urbalewicz participated in over 80 exhibitions, is artworks are in collections in Europe, the United States and Japan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe artist always leaves a trace, a vestige and becomes the very trace at the same time. Later, someone else finds this trace and ponders over the question whether he\/she reads the tropes correctly. Then, looking through lapidariums, this researcher of the past tries to recreate the pictures of the things long gone; an attempt at reconstruction.\u201d
