The second edition of the Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music<\/a> will take place at the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic Hall<\/a> in Rzesz\u00f3w between 11 and 18 September 2021<\/strong>. From now until 31 May 202<\/strong>1<\/strong><\/span>, the candidates will be able to submit their applications by filling in online forms available on the dedicated website: polishmusiccompetition.pl<\/a>. The competition is organised by the Institute of Music and Dance. The prizes are funded by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.<\/p>\n

The participants of the Second Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music will contest for the total prize money in the amount of over 80.000 EUR<\/strong> to be won in two categories: piano and chamber ensembles. There are no age or citizenship restrictions for the candidates. The juries of both categories will feature distinguished musicians and musical personalities from Poland and abroad.<\/p>\n

The competition will be chronicled in a series of recordings in electronic and CD formats distributed worldwide. In such a way, several works that have never been released before will finally have their world premiere recordings.<\/p>\n

The rulebook, framework schedule of the Competition, application forms, information on the repertoire, composers and sheet music, as well as all the updates, can be found on the dedicated website: polishmusiccompetition.pl<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The primary objective of the Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music is to promote Polish music worldwide and disseminate the wonderful legacy of Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko and other excellent Polish composers amongst a wide spectrum of listeners.<\/p>\n

The Competition promotes Polish music written in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, especially those works which have been forgotten or have been less popular in concert practice. Its objective is to present rediscovered works to the general public and provide this unjustly neglected repertoire with appropriate analyses and new editions. The Competition equally endeavours to promote talented musicians who are willing to include lesser-known works written by Polish composers in their concert programmes. The Competition was also established to promote Poland as a meeting place of the international public during artistic events.<\/p>\n

From now until 31 May 2021, the candidates will be able to submit their applications by filling in online forms available on the dedicated website: polishmusiccompetition.pl. The competition is organised by the Institute of Music and Dance. The prizes are funded by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.\nThe participants of the Second Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music will contest for the total prize money in the amount of over 80.000 EUR to be won in two categories: piano and chamber ensembles. There are no age or citizenship restrictions for the candidates. The juries of both categories will feature distinguished musicians and musical personalities from Poland and abroad.\nThe competition will be chronicled in a series of recordings in electronic and CD formats distributed worldwide. In such a way, several works that have never been released before will finally have their world premiere recordings.\nThe rulebook, framework schedule of the Competition, application forms, information on the repertoire, composers and sheet music, as well as all the updates, can be found on the dedicated website: polishmusiccompetition.pl.\nThe primary objective of the Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music is to promote Polish music worldwide and disseminate the wonderful legacy of Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko and other excellent Polish composers amongst a wide spectrum of listeners.\nThe Competition promotes Polish music written in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, especially those works which have been forgotten or have been less popular in concert practice. Its objective is to present rediscovered works to the general public and provide this unjustly neglected repertoire with appropriate analyses and new editions. The Competition equally endeavours to promote talented musicians who are willing to include lesser-known works written by Polish composers in their concert programmes.
