Unqiue violin-accordion duo Karolina and Iwo will perform a programme featuring Polish composers Chopin, Bacewicz and Penderecki.

Karolina Mikołajczyk is a violinist and holds a PhD in music. She is the co-founder of one of the only classical duos combining violin and accordion. This year, the duo received an award from Poland’s Paszport Polityki in the classical music category.

As a duo, Karolina and Iwo have performed over 250 recitals in 30 countries on 4 continents ( North America, Central America, South America, Europe and Asia), twice perfroming at New York’s Carnegie Hall, Guangzhou Opera House in Canton, The Star Performing Arts Center in Sinagpor, Teatro del Lago we Frutillar (Chile), NOSPR, The National Opera in Warszawie.

They are also the recipients of over 20 international competitions and were nominated for the FRYDERYK award in 2022.

The DUO currently divides their time between Poland and the USA.
