DESCRIPTION:On Sunday, 28th September 2025, the Chopin Society UK presents a solo piano
recital by the award-winning Polish pianist Jakub Kuszlik at Westminster
Cathedral Hall in London. The concert is part of the 'Year of Polish
Pianists' series and is supported by the Polish Ministry of Culture and the
Adam Mickiewicz Institute of Warsaw. The Rupert Turnbull Piano Foundation
also sponsors this event.
Kuszlik's performance will feature an all-Chopin programme:
Jakub Kuszlik gained international recognition as the 4th Prize winner and
recipient of The Polish Radio Prize for the best performance of mazurkas at
the 18th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. He has
also won second prizes at the Ignacy J. Paderewski International Piano
Competition in Bydgoszcz and the Hilton Head International Piano
Competition, and third prize at the 'Top of the World' International Piano
Competition in Tromsø.
Kuszlik has performed globally, including at festivals such as Chopin and
his Europe, the International Chopin Festival in Duszniki Zdrój, and the
Paderewski Festival in Paso Robles. His discography includes two solo
albums: "Brahms, Chopin" (2022) and "Chopin & Debussy" (2022), both
released by Polish Radio.
