DESCRIPTION:12–20 September 2026 | MINT Gallery9 September 2026 – January 2027 |
Mandarin Oriental Mayfair
This September, Polish design takes centre stage in London’s Mayfair as
On&On Designs’ Curated Connections returns for its second year,
bringing together six leading Polish designers and artists across two
distinctive Mayfair venues.
Presented in collaboration with the Creative Project Foundation and the
Polish Cultural Institute in London, the programme explores the depth and
diversity of contemporary Polish design through two exhibitions: Blueprint
at MINT Gallery and Reflections at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair.
Together, the exhibitions showcase designers working across metal, cast
aluminium, ceramics and glass, exploring the relationship between
traditional craft, material innovation and contemporary design.
BLUEPRINT at MINT Gallery
At MINT Gallery, Blueprint celebrates the reconfiguration of traditional
craft techniques as a foundation for bold, contemporary design.
The exhibition brings together Formsophy, Mati Sipiora and Tomek Rygalik,
whose practices are rooted in material knowledge, experimentation and hand
craftsmanship.
Artist duo Formsophy present HANN, a sculptural coffee table combining
recycled cast aluminium with dark basalt, alongside NAR, which brings
together beige onyx and cast aluminium in a study of contrasting materials.
Designer and craftsman Mati Sipiora presents the Poodle Armchair (2023), a
sculptural yet inviting piece combining a stainless-steel frame with a
velvet and high-quality shearling seat. Working from his family’s
metalworking workshop, Sipiora creates his furniture entirely by hand using
traditional tools and deliberately avoids automated production.
Tomek Rygalik presents Miss Irony (2026), an industrial intervention that
examines the tension between comfort and the austerity of the natural
world. The table, cast in industrial iron, is forced into a burned tree
trunk, creating a striking intersection between the manufactured and the
decaying.
In Conversation with Tomek Rygalik
17 September | 6–7pmFollowed by the Blueprint Private View | 7–9pm
An opportunity to hear directly from Tomek Rygalik as he discusses his
practice and the ideas behind his work.

REFLECTIONS at Mandarin Oriental Mayfair
At Mandarin Oriental Mayfair, Reflections transforms the hotel into an
exploration of light, material and perception, inspired by the cultural
history of Hanover Square.
The exhibition presents Aneta Kocia, Magdalena Zarychta and Zieta Studio,
working across ceramics, glass and metal.
Gdańsk-based ceramic artist Aneta Kocia presents her UNDERTOW series,
exploring the tension between stillness and movement, permanence and
transformation. Created entirely by hand, the sculptural forms evoke water,
erosion, sediment and geological forces.
Magdalena Zarychta presents Pulsars, a series of hand-blown glass
sculptures in which hand-impressed reliefs preserve the memory of gesture
and movement. Shifting layers of colour and transparency are revealed
through changing light, bringing traditional glassblowing into dialogue
with structures found in living organisms.
Zieta Studio, led by architect and process designer Oskar Zięta, presents
Crystal Totem and Crystal Monoliths from its ongoing Crystals series.
Composed of geometric, mirror-surfaced steel modules, the works reflect and
refract light and their surroundings, creating shifting, kaleidoscopic
impressions.
A celebration of Polish design
Now in its second year, Curated Connections continues On&On Designs’
mission to place Polish design in dialogue with London’s creative
landscape, creating opportunities for Polish designers to connect with an
international audience and London’s design community.
The programme forms part of Mayfair Design District’s 2026 programme,
which this year explores the theme What Matters Now — considering the
ideas, materials and connections that give design meaning.
