While discovering the piece, the violinist simultaneously gets to know the composer better.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The film reveals the story of the discovery of forgotten musical works and how they were their bringing back to the stages. &#8222;Bacewicz x Bomsori&#8221; is an intimate portrait of concert violinist and musician who sacrifices a lot in the name of the art and music.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Bomsori Kim is a frequent guest of the world\u2019s most famous music venues<\/strong>&nbsp;(New York\u2019s Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, Amsterdam\u2019s Concertgebouw, London\u2019s Royal Albert Hall and BBC Proms, Vienna\u2019s Musikverein and Konzerthaus). In February 2021 she signed an exclusive contract with the prestigious Deutsche Grammophone label.&nbsp;<strong>As of this year, she also bears the honourable title of ambassador of Gra\u017cyna Bacewicz\u2019s music, which she performs worldwide, promoting the legacy of Poland\u2019s most important woman composer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The screening will be followed by a conversation with Bomsori Kim and solo violin performance during which she will perform&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/album\/4Ef4zWkFSFSG8Rw8qYwzHe\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Polish Caprice&nbsp;<\/em>written by Gra\u017cyna Bacewicz, recorded in June, 2025 by the Deutsche Grammophone.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">The event is organized by PWM Edition in cooperation with the Polish Cultural Institute in London and the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh.
