They have been performing together since 2014 but their music-making began a decade and half earlier when 13-year-old Micha\u0142 began teaching 2-year-old Filip.<br>Their performances include their own arrangements of classical and folk music, as well as hidden gems from the duo repertoire and new commissions from contemporary composers.<br>They have collaborated with the Harlem Quartet, the Ognisko Ensemble and have performed together as soloists with the G\u00f3recki Chamber Orchestra.<br>While they both separately studied with celebrated violinists, their unusual musical upbringing also immersed them in the rich folk music of the Carpathian Mountains in Eastern Europe as well as the very different sound-world of the Javanese Gamelan, which they played at London\u2019s Southbank Centre throughout their youth.<br>Their varied musical interests have led to two new duo works: Delirium by Richard Birchall and Quartets for Two Violins and Balinese Gender Wayang by Nick Gray.<br>Drawing on Polish Highlanders\u2019 folk tunes and Szymanowski\u2019s ballet The Brigands, their own piece Tatra Melodies was premiered in Warsaw in 2015 together with dance and original choreography.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:29px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u0141UKASZ KRUPI\u0143SKI (piano)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Is a British-Polish pianist and Steinway Artist, celebrated for his refined lyricism, poetic tone, and depth of expression.<br>Since his Carnegie Hall debut in 2018, \u0141ukasz has appeared with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony, China National Symphony, Warsaw Philharmonic, Sinfonia Varsovia, Buffalo Philharmonic, Armenian State Symphony, Bratislava Radio Symphony, George Enescu Philharmonic, and the Orchestra of the Americas. He has performed at major venues across Europe, Asia, and North America, including the Royal Albert Hall, Wigmore Hall, La Fenice, Salle Cortot, Auditorium La Verdi, Merkin Hall, and a special recital at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.<br>His debut album, Espressione, featuring Chopin, Scriabin, and Haydn, was praised by Gramophone, Pizzicato, and international broadcasters for its passionate reading and rich tonal colour, receiving airplay on BBC Radio 3, WQXR New York, ABC Australia, Polish Radio 2, and CBC Canada. It was nominated for the International Classical Music Awards alongside albums by Krystian Zimerman and Evgeny Kissin.<br>A dedicated chamber musician, \u0141ukasz has been a member of the Penderecki Trio since 2023, alongside violinist Leticia Moreno and cellist Claudio Boh\u00f3rquez. They have been performing together since 2014 but their music-making began a decade and half earlier when 13-year-old Micha\u0142 began teaching 2-year-old Filip.Their performances include their own arrangements of classical and folk music, as well as hidden gems from the duo repertoire and new commissions from contemporary composers.They have collaborated with the Harlem Quartet, the Ognisko Ensemble and have performed together as soloists with the G\u00f3recki Chamber Orchestra.While they both separately studied with celebrated violinists, their unusual musical upbringing also immersed them in the rich folk music of the Carpathian Mountains in Eastern Europe as well as the very different sound-world of the Javanese Gamelan, which they played at London\u2019s Southbank Centre throughout their youth.Their varied musical interests have led to two new duo works: Delirium by Richard Birchall and Quartets for Two Violins and Balinese Gender Wayang by Nick Gray.Drawing on Polish Highlanders\u2019 folk tunes and Szymanowski\u2019s ballet The Brigands, their own piece Tatra Melodies was premiered in Warsaw in 2015 together with dance and original choreography.\n\u0141UKASZ KRUPI\u0143SKI (piano)\nIs a British-Polish pianist and Steinway Artist, celebrated for his refined lyricism, poetic tone, and depth of expression.Since his Carnegie Hall debut in 2018, \u0141ukasz has appeared with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony, China National Symphony, Warsaw Philharmonic, Sinfonia Varsovia, Buffalo Philharmonic, Armenian State Symphony, Bratislava Radio Symphony, George Enescu Philharmonic, and the Orchestra of the Americas.
