Tomasz Zyrmont<\/strong> is a London-based pianist and composer whose music combines contemporary jazz expression with a deep respect for jazz tradition. Known for his strong melodic voice, distinctive compositions, and dynamic improvisational style, he has established himself as an active figure on the London jazz scene and an ambassador of Polish jazz culture in the United Kingdom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, where he studied jazz piano, Tomasz continued his musical development at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

His performances have taken him to leading venues, festivals, and cultural events across the UK, Europe, and the USA, including Ronnie Scott\u2019s Jazz Club, 606 Club, Toulouse Lautrec, Boisdale Canary Wharf, Wigmore Lates, Tate Modern, and the British Parliament. He has also performed at international events including the London Jazz Festival, Yamaha Music Live, and the Jazz FM Discovery Show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a composer and bandleader, Tomasz has released three albums of original music with his own projects, including Groove Razors and, most recently, the Tomasz Zyrmont Quartet. The quartet brings together some of London\u2019s finest musicians, featuring Sean Khan on saxophone, Ben Hazleton on double bass, and Filippo Galli on drums. Together, they perform Tomasz\u2019s original compositions, combining lyrical melodies, contemporary jazz language, and energetic improvisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The quartet\u2019s latest album, London Manifest, released by Soliton, reflects Tomasz\u2019s artistic journey through London and his contemporary approach to jazz composition. It has since received positive reviews, regular radio airplay, and media coverage, including a feature and interview in Jazz Forum, one of Europe\u2019s leading jazz publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout his career, Tomasz has performed with internationally respected artists. In 2025, he was awarded the honorary distinction \u201cMerit for Polish Culture\u201d by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, recognising his contribution to promoting Polish culture internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
