The primary objective of the Stanis\u0142aw Moniuszko International Competition of Polish Music is to popularise Polish music worldwide and showcase the masterful works written by 56 distinguished Polish composers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Competition promotes Polish music written in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, especially newly discovered works that can be restored to concert practice by the participants of the event. The Competition is dedicated to professional musicians, regardless of their age or citizenship. It aims to disseminate the featured compositions amongst a wide spectrum of international recipients and provide the legacy of the successive generations of Polish composers with appropriate analyses and new editions. The Competition equally endeavours to promote talented musicians who are willing to include lesser-known works written by Polish composers in the repertoire they regularly perform. It was also established to promote Poland as a meeting place of the international public during artistic events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Competition is held every other year and its successive editions may feature different sets of musicians and ensembles. The second edition of the Competition will be divided into two categories \u2013 piano and chamber ensembles. The Competition accepts instrumental musicians applying as soloists or chamber ensembles (from two to twelve musicians). There are no age or citizenship restrictions for the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The participants will present works written by 56 Polish composers, who were mostly active in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The auditions for the Competition will take place at the Artur Malawski Podkarpacka Philharmonic Hall in Rzesz\u00f3w between 11 and 18 September 2021. The Prize Winners Concert, along with the awards ceremony, will be held at the Podkarpacka Philharmonic Hall on 18 September 2021.
