It is supported by the Polish Cultural Institute in London and is curated by Dr James Savage-Hanford, Prof. Andrea F. Bohlman, and Prof. Beata Boles\u0142awska-Lewandowska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aims:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To encourage collaboration and foster mutual support among researchers of Polish music since 1900 (of any genre or style, and understood more broadly to include music from Poland; music-making practices in Poland or by Polish artists abroad; musical cultures originating in or relating to Poland; music and sound in Poland; and any other critical approaches which seek to widen contemporary perspectives on Polish music), with the particular aim of strengthening ties between Polish and international (Anglophone and other) musicological communities<\/li><li>To create a focal point for all kinds of interdisciplinary research, interpretation, and analysis of Polish music since 1900, addressing the needs of the wider musicological community (including early career and postgraduate researchers, and independent scholars), as well as composers, performers, researchers in other academic disciplines, and any others with research interests in this field<\/li><li>To provide opportunities for knowledge sharing and discussion of scholarly work, in the form of a conference, study days, research forums, and public engagement events<\/li><li>To foster new and diverse avenues of scholarly enquiry into Polish music since 1900, including in areas that have been marginalised or excluded<\/li><li>To build an international online interactive research community for individuals to share and discuss research, and create opportunities for networking and collaboration<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Network\u2019s official launch will take place as part of an inaugural online research forum, scheduled for spring 2022.
