The resultant repertoire, consisting of original compositions, is a highly energetic mix of scripted forms and free improvisation, drawing from various genres but at the same time staying deeply rooted in the jazz tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Quintet\u2019s EP entitled \u201eReluctance\u201d is a reflection on the uncertainty of current times, a way to express intertwining feelings of hope and skepticism. The album takes the listener on a journey through different sound worlds, from modern jazz inspired by New York scene to hip-hop grooves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The leader of the band is a guitarist born in Poland, currently a student at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music &amp; Drama in London. Jakub is an adventurous composer and an improviser who also has extensive experience working as a side-man with various artists and projects, including prominent figures like Krystyna Sta\u0144ko or Jonas Kullhammar.
