Its aim is to entertain, educate and inspire through local, national and global history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year&#8217;s programme includes events associated with Polish history like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Secrets and Lives of Christine Granville<\/strong><br>Join Clare Mulley as she recounts the remarkable tale of Britain\u2019s first female special agent of the Second World War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Courageous and enigmatic, Christine Granville \u2013 also known as Krystyna Skarbek \u2013 was the daughter of a Polish aristocrat and ended up becoming one of Britain\u2019s most daring and highly decorated special agents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join historian Claire Mulley as she unpacks Christine\u2019s remarkable career, which took her from occupied Poland to Egypt and then behind enemy lines in France.
