Przemy\u015bl (German: Premissel) was a fortress-town and stronghold on the River San in what is now southeastern Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The investment of Przemy\u015bl began on 16 September 1914 and was briefly suspended on 11 October, due to an Austro-Hungarian offensive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The siege resumed again on 9 November and the Austro-Hungarian garrison surrendered on 22 March 1915, after holding out for a total of 133 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color\"><strong><span style=\"color:#cf2e2e\" class=\"tadv-color\">10th December:<\/span><\/strong> <strong>Pilsudski as a Military Leader, Dr Paul Latawski<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In his political career, Pi\u0142sudski became a leader of the Polish Socialist Party.
